  • Enable USB debugging, go to Menu > Settings > Developer options and turn on USB debugging.

How To Unlock Bootloader on Moto G (3rd Gen)


Step 1: First you should download the Fastboot from the above link and unzip the file on your desktop.

Step 2: Connect your Moto G to your PC via a USB data cord.

Step 3: And then open Command Prompt Window on your desktop. For that right click on your desktop with holding down the shift button in the empty space anywhere.

Step 4: After that followed the following command into the command prompt window and press the Enter button.

adb reboot bootloader

Step 5: And then your smartphone will Reboot into bootloader mode.

Step 6: Once you enter into bootloader mode, then type the below command into and press the Enter button.

fastboot oem get_unlock_data

Step 7: And then copy the string of text that appears on your screen, without spaces.

Step 8: Open the Motorola Bootloader website and get logged-in. If you don’t have an account there, create one first and then log-in.

Step 9: On the website follow the bootloader unlock procedure. And when you are entered to step-6, then paste the string of text that you have copied earlier.

Step 10: After that follow the on-screen instructions, and then you receive the unlock key through by email that sends from the Motorola site.

Step 11: Once you receive the Unlock Key then copy the unlock key from your email that you received from Motorola.

Step 12: And then followed the below command in the Command Prompt Window, and replace the KEY with the actual key. That you copied in the above step.

Step 13: Once you change the Unlock Key, then you have successfully unlocked the bootloader.
